To encourage a dynamic learning environment, the Folke Bernadotte Academy has developed a teaching method that links participative lectures and case studies, with a weeklong simulation exercise and facilitated plenary discussions. The intent is to ‘test’ the topics presented in lectures in the simulation exercise, and facilitate discussion between faculty and syndicate groups in plenary sessions. The exercise has been designed to bring together senior managers in a safe but challenging learning environment. For complete details of the course, please consult the agenda.
Participants will work in one of three groups in the exercise- Emerald, Sapphire and Diamond. The simulation exercise offers an unprecedented opportunity for participants to share experiences, ideas and considerations within a demanding, interactive arena. The exercise will also facilitate the building of closer, more effective working relationships with fellow managers and experts from outside agencies.
